Silk Road Projects – Mainstage

Silk Road Theatre Project* showcases playwrights of Asian, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean backgrounds, whose works address themes relevant to the peoples of the Silk Road and their Diaspora communities. I joined Silk Road as a stage manager in the winter of 2005 working on their first full production to take place their brand new home at the First United Methodist Church at the Chicago Temple. What started as a single gig became several years of productions, readings, workshops, parties and fantastic friendships. It also marked my transition from stage to production management, as I became the company’s full-time staff production manager in December of 2006.
